2-butyl-1-ethyl-[1,3,2]diazaborinane is a complex chemical compound with the molecular formula C6H16BN3. It is a member of the diazaborinane family, which are known for their reactivity as reducing agents in organic synthesis. This particular compound features a boron atom at the center, surrounded by two nitrogen atoms and a three-membered ring that includes one nitrogen and two carbon atoms. The carbon chain is extended with a butyl group at the second position and an ethyl group at the first position, which influences its steric properties and reactivity. It is used in various chemical reactions, particularly in the reduction of functional groups, due to its unique structure and reductive capabilities.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 6063-73-6 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,0,6 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6063-73:
(6*6)+(5*0)+(4*6)+(3*3)+(2*7)+(1*3)=86
86 % 10 = 6
So 6063-73-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Boron-nitrogen compounds. XXV. Substituted 1,3,2-diazaboracycloalkanes

Weber, Wolfgang,Dawson, John W.,Niedenzu, Kurt

, p. 726 - 728 (2008/10/08)

Boron- and nitrogen-substituted 1,3,2-diazaboracycloalkanes have been prepared by a transamination between bis(dimethylamino)boranes and α,ω-diamines. Partial substitution of the nitrogen of the diamine does not appear to inhibit this reaction; five-, six-, and seven-membered heterocyclic systems are readily obtained by the described procedure. However, the low yields of product obtained in those reactions involving an olefinic α,ω-diamine indicate that steric factors may play an important role. The mechanism of the formation of the boron-nitrogen-carbon heterocycles is discussed, and some spectroscopic data are briefly evaluated.
