A Cu2+ protein cavity mimicking fluorescent chemosensor for selective Cu2+ recognition: tuning of fluorescence quenching to enhancement through spatial placement of anthracene unit
Kumar, Subodh,Singh, Prabhpreet,Kaur, Sukhdeep
, p. 11724 - 11732 (2007)
Four new fluoroionophores possessing four ligating sites (2S+2N) and an essential hydrophobic environment, as prevailing in the plastocyanin and rusticyanin proteins, have been synthesized. In these PET fluoroionophores, the position of fluorophore anthra

Paragraph 0277-0279, (2014/12/09)
A method for treating or preventing a microbial infection in a subject in need thereof, the method comprising administering to the subject, a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of Formula Ia, a compound of Formula IIa, one or more compounds of Formula Ia or Formula IIa complexed with a metal core, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt, prodrug or hydrate thereof.

experimental part, p. 303 - 315 (2011/03/18)
A series of twenty S-benzyl ortho-aminothiophenol and S,S-xylylene-bridged bis(ortho-aminothiophenol) compounds and their imine derivatives have been synthesized in moderate to excellent yields and characterized. The syntheses were optimized, including large-scale syntheses, and an improved purification method involving the HCl salt was developed. This paper also serves as a comprehensive review of xylylene-bridged bis(ortho-aminothiophenol) compounds. Georg Thieme Verlag Stuttgart New York.
Synthesis, characterization and ion transportation studies of some novel cyclophane amides
Rajakumar, Perumal,Rasheed, A. Mohammed Abdul
, p. 5351 - 5362 (2007/10/03)
Various novel cyclophane amides with a large cavity have been synthesized. The structures of cyclophane amides 14 and 15 were resolved using XRD studies. Cyclophane amide 28 shows a shift in λmax in the UV/Vis. spectra when treated with Cu (II) ion as well as with Pb (II) ion. Ion transportation studies were carried out with cyclophane amide 14 which proved that the Na+ ion passes through the cavity while K+ ions are retained.
Synthesis of new calix(aza) and calix(aza-thia) crowns
Kumar,Sharma nee Bhalla,Sharma
, p. 492 - 493 (2007/10/03)
The synthesis of new calix(aza), calix(aza-thia) crowns and bisbromoacetamides is reported in good yields.
