According to the 1H and 13C NMR, IR, and UV spectra of solutions of potentially tautomeric 2-aryl-1,3-thiazine-4,6-diones and compounds with fixed structures, modeling all possible tautomeric forms, in nonpolar and dipolar aprotic solvents, alcohols, and aqueous-alcoholic media at pH2, a mixture of the 4-hydroxy enol with corresponding anion (pKa 3.6-5.1, 40% aqueous ethanol) occurs. The experimental results are supported by PPP quantum-chemical calculations.
