61544-25-0 Usage
Molecular structure
The compound has a pyrimidine core with a diamine group and a phenylmethyl group attached to it.
Function
Temozolomide is a chemotherapy drug used to treat certain types of brain cancers, including glioblastoma multiforme and anaplastic astrocytoma.
Mechanism of action
It works by inhibiting the growth of cancer cells and disrupting their DNA repair mechanisms, ultimately leading to the death of the cancer cells.
Administration
Temozolomide is typically administered orally or intravenously.
Importance
It is an important part of the treatment regimen for aggressive and difficult-to-treat brain tumors.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 61544-25-0 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,1,5,4 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 61544-25:
(7*6)+(6*1)+(5*5)+(4*4)+(3*4)+(2*2)+(1*5)=110
110 % 10 = 0
So 61544-25-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

, (2008/06/13)
Benzylpyrimidines of the formula STR1 wherein R1 and R2 each, independently, is amino, optionally C1-3 -alkyl-substituted pyrrolo, pyrrolidino, piperidino, -NHR3, -N(R3)2, -NHR4, -N(R3)(R4),-NR3 COOR3, -NHCOOR3, -NHCONHR3, -NHCONH2 or -N(NO)R3 or wherein R3 is C1-4 -alkyl or C2-4 -alkenyl, R4 is acyl; Z is hydrogen, chlorine, bromine, pyrrolo, pyrrolidino, piperidino or morpholino or R3, OR3 or -N(R3)2 ; A is an oxygen atom bonded to one of the cyclic nitrogen atoms; and n is 0 or 1 are prepared. The benzylpyrimidines are useful as potentiators of the activity of the sulfonamides.
