Synthesis of new compound with the 2-aminobenzimidazole moiety is reported. 2-Aminobenzimidazole was condensed with selected α,β-unsaturated acids and their chlorides (methacrylic, crotonic and cinnamic), to yield 3-methyl-, 4-methyl-, or 4-phenyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydropyrimidobenzimidazol-2-ones and 2-cinnamoylaminobenzimidazole derivatives respectively.
