Usage

General Description

Acid Brown 97 is a chemical compound chiefly used as a dye in the textile industry. Its chemical formula is C32H23N8Na3O11S3 and it is also known as Disodium 5-((4-(acetylamino)phenyl)(4-carboxyphenyl)diazenyl)-4-hydroxy-3-methyl-2-(2-(4-sulphonatobenzyl)diazenyl)naphthalene-6,7-disulphonate. As an acid dye, it interacts with the textile fiber by forming ionic bonds, resulting in coloration. It is often dissolved in water before use, and the depth of shade can be adjusted by controlling the amount of dye used. Its color fastness and light fastness vary depending on the material it's applied on. It is not considered extremely hazardous but, like all chemicals, should be handled with appropriate protective measures.
