Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6266-21-3 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,2,6 and 6 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6266-21:
(6*6)+(5*2)+(4*6)+(3*6)+(2*2)+(1*1)=93
93 % 10 = 3
So 6266-21-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

A versatile Synthesis of Carboxypyridine Betaines and their 1H and 13C NMR Spectra

, p. 303 - 312 (2007/10/03)
Pyridine betaine and 15 substituted pyridine betaines were prepared by alkylation of R-pyridines with ethyl chloroacetate. The ester group was removed by acid hydrolysis and the obtained hydrochlorides were left with propylene oxide in order to obtain pure, free R-pyridine betaines. The 1H and 13C NMR spectra of free betaines and their hydrochlorides were analysed with respect to an interaction of the ring substituents with N+CH2COO group. - Key words: R-pyridine betaines; ethyl chloroacetate; propylene oxide; IR spectra; 1H and 13C NMR spectra.
