62758-13-8 Usage
Description
Resazurin is a blue non-fluorescent dye that when reduced to the highly red-fluorescent product resorufin (ex/em max = 570/580 nm, respectively) can be used as a quantifiable detection agent for enzyme activity assays. The non-fluorescent resazurin can be used as an oxidation-reduction indicator in cell viability assays in a variety of cells.
Chemical Properties
dark red crystals with a greenish lustre
Uses
Resazurin Sodium Salt is used as an indicator in fluorescence assays.
Biochem/physiol Actions
Resazurin is a blue, non-fluorescent dye originally used to test milk/biological fluids for bacterial and yeast contamination. It is also useful in sperm viability and semen quality test. Resazurin is applicable in cytotoxicity determination.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 62758-13-8 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,2,7,5 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 1 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 62758-13:
(7*6)+(6*2)+(5*7)+(4*5)+(3*8)+(2*1)+(1*3)=138
138 % 10 = 8
So 62758-13-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
