63349-35-9 Usage
General Description
2,5-Piperazinedione, 1,4-bis(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-3,6-dimethyl- is a chemical compound commonly known as ketanserin. It is a selective antagonist of serotonin receptors and is used in research as a tool for studying the function of these receptors. Ketanserin has been studied for its potential therapeutic effects in the treatment of a variety of conditions, including hypertension, schizophrenia, and migraines. It has also been investigated for its potential use in the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension. However, its use in humans is limited due to its potential for causing side effects, including hypotension and sedation.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 63349-35-9 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,3,3,4 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 63349-35:
(7*6)+(6*3)+(5*3)+(4*4)+(3*9)+(2*3)+(1*5)=129
129 % 10 = 9
So 63349-35-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

THERMAL STABILITY OF N-ARYL- alpha -AMINO ACIDS.
Antipanova,Gil'mkhanova,Maslennikova
, p. 211 - 213 (2007/10/02)
The authors studied the thermal stability of N-3,4-dichlorophenylalanine in the temperature range 120-140 degree in sealed ampuls. The authors also investigated the thermal stability of the Na salt of N-3,4-dichlorophenylalanine and of a number of N-phenyl- alpha -amino acids by differential thermal analysis. Data on decomposition of certain N-phenyl- alpha -amino acids and of the Na salt of N-3,4-dichlorophenylalanine are presented. The method of thermographic analysis of the Na salt of N-3,4-dichlorophenylalanine is described. The data show that N-phenyl- alpha -amino acids having a halogen atom in the benzene nucleus are the most resistant to decomposition. N-Phenyl- alpha -amino acids with alkyl or alkoxy substituents in the benzene nucleus melt with decomposition.
