ACID YELLOW 25 (C.I. 18835) is a yellow powder that is soluble in water, resulting in a yellow solution. It becomes muddy when exposed to cold, and is slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone. When mixed with strong sulfuric acid, it turns yellow and produces a fluorescent yellow precipitate upon dilution. Its water solution does not change when mixed with a sodium hydroxide solution.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 6359-85-9 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,3,5 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 8 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6359-85:
(6*6)+(5*3)+(4*5)+(3*9)+(2*8)+(1*5)=119
119 % 10 = 9
So 6359-85-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
