Used in Textile Industry:
Disodium 5-((4-acetylamino-2-sulphophenyl)azo)-6-amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2-disulphonate is used as a dye for wool, silk, and polyamide fiber and their blended fabrics. It can be used directly for wool and silk fabric printing and is also suitable for leather coloring. However, it has a negative impact on the dyeing of worsted products.
Used in Histopathology:
Disodium 5-((4-acetylamino-2-sulphophenyl)azo)-6-amino-4-hydroxynaphthalene-2-disulphonate is used along with acid fuchsin as a constituent of the plasma staining solution in Lendrum's Picro-Mallory for fibrin staining in histopathology.
Standard:
