4-methyl-6-(naphthylazo)benzene-1,3-diamine is an organic compound with a red-orange to brown color. It is obtained through crystallization from benzene, resulting in red-brown crystals with a melting point of 148°C. 4-methyl-6-(naphthylazo)benzene-1,3-diamine is soluble in ethanol, acetone, and benzene. When exposed to concentrated sulfuric acid, it turns yellow and remains bright yellow upon dilution. It is insoluble in concentrated sodium hydroxide solution. When added to an alcohol solution and reacted with dilute hydrochloric acid, it produces a brownish light red color, while the addition of dilute sodium hydroxide solution results in a brownish light yellow color.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 6364-39-2 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,3,6 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6364-39:
(6*6)+(5*3)+(4*6)+(3*4)+(2*3)+(1*9)=102
102 % 10 = 2
So 6364-39-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
