N-[4-amino-3-(5,10-dihydro-5,10-dioxoanthra[2,3-d]thiazol-2-yl)-9,10-dihydro-9,10-dioxo-1-anthryl]benzamide is used as a dye for cotton fabric dyeing. It provides good ironing fastness, chlorine bleach resistance, light fastness, and oxygen bleach resistance. It also has good performance on mercerized fabrics and shows minimal fading, staining, and ISO 5 rating.
Preparation
1-Amino-4-nitro-2-anthraquinonecarboxylic acid and 2-Amino-3-chloroanthracene-9,10-dione condensation, make its formation mercaptan, then cyclization, reduction and Benzoylation.
