6388-26-7 Usage
Description
Direct Green 26 is a blue light green dye that is soluble in water, with a solubility of 20 g/L at temperatures between 80-85°C. It is insoluble in organic solvents and exhibits a yellow green color when treated with strong sulfuric acid. Upon dilution, it turns dark blue and becomes light yellow green when reduced with zinc and ammonia. Direct Green 26 is sensitive to the presence of iron ions, which can cause a dark color.
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
Direct Green 26 is used as a dye for cotton, viscose, silk, and PVA/rayon blended fabrics. It is suitable for both dyeing and printing processes, providing a vibrant green color to the fabrics.
Used in Leather Industry:
Direct Green 26 is used in the leather industry for coloring, offering a consistent and long-lasting green hue to the leather products.
Used in Paper Industry:
In the paper industry, Direct Green 26 is used for coloring paper products, providing a distinct green shade that enhances the appearance of the paper.
Used in Regenerated Cellulose Film Industry:
Direct Green 26 is also used in the production of regenerated cellulose film, where it imparts a green color to the film, making it suitable for various applications.
Standard:
The performance of Direct Green 26 is evaluated based on its acid resistance, alkali resistance, light fastness, soaping, water fading, and stain fading properties. The ISO and AATCC ratings for these properties are as follows:
Acid Resistance: ISO 3, AATCC 4
Alkali Resistance: ISO 4, AATCC 3
Light Fastness: ISO 6, AATCC 5
Soaping: ISO 4, AATCC 4
Water Fading: ISO 4, AATCC 4

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6388-26-7 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,3,8 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6388-26:
(6*6)+(5*3)+(4*8)+(3*8)+(2*2)+(1*6)=117
117 % 10 = 7
So 6388-26-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
