SIRIUS ORANGE G is a bright orange, tan powder that is soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohol. It is a dye that exhibits strong colorfastness to acid and alkali resistance, light fastness, and soaping. It is known for its excellent water solubility and is not sensitive to hard water. The dye solution appears yellow-orange, and when mixed with strong hydrochloric acid, it turns dark blue light green with precipitation. When mixed with strong sodium hydroxide solution, it remains yellow-orange with accompanying precipitation. SIRIUS ORANGE G is suitable for dyeing cotton, viscose, and their blended fabrics, as well as silk. It is not used in printing but is also used for paper and leather dyeing. The dye exhibits good to very good performance in neutral and alkaline whites. Additionally, it can be used with disperse dyestuff for bath dyeing of polyester/cotton blended fabric.
