1,2,4-Triaza-3-sila-5-borolidines (1) are accessible via N,N'-dilithio-N,N'-dimethyl-hydrazine and Br(CH3)B-NCH3-Si(CH3)2Br or by transsilylation of the permethyl derivative of 1.Similarly, phosphorus halides replace the (CH3)2Si group of heptamethyl-triaza-3-sila-5-borolidine (2), affording triaza-3-phospha-5-borolidines, while AsCl3 yields 3-chloro-1,2,4,5-tetramethyl-1,2,4-triaza-3-arsa-5-borolidine.Nucleophilic replacements at the P atom of 3-chloro-triaza-3-phospha-5-borolidine (9) are readily achieved.Surprisingly, the various substituents at the P atom of the new heterocyclic systems have little influence on δ11B, in contrast to δ1H.This is attributed to ?- and ?-effects.It is assumed that the new ring systems are nonplanar. - Keywords: 1,2,4-Triaza-3-sila-5-borolidines, 1,2,4-Triaza-3-phospha-5-borolidines, 1,2,4-Triaza-3-arsa-5-borolidines, NMR Spectra
