Several nitrosoureidonucleosides (9a, 9b, 11a, 11b, 18 and 20) designed as inhibitors of enzymes that metabolize purine and pyrimidine nucleotides have been prepared and their chemical and biological properties studied. The low level of biological activity
SELECTIVE NITROSATION OF POLYMETHYLENEBIS-(3-ALKYLUREAS)

, p. 1366 - 1371 (2007/10/02)
Nitrosation of ethylenebis-(3-hexylurea) and hexamethylenebis with sodium nitrite in acid solution gives the isomeric symmetrical NN- and N'N'-bisnitrosoureas and the nonsymmetrical NN'-dinitrosoureas.The regioisomers were separated by TLC, and their structures proved by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy.
