PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing a cyclic siloxane compound, a novel cyclic siloxane compound obtained by the production method, a composition containing the compound, and a heat-resistant material containing the composition. SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for producing a cyclic siloxane compound having a cyclic siloxane with a ring skeleton formed by -Si-O- bond, comprising the step of reacting an acyloxy silane having three or four -OCOR groups (a plurality of R independently represent a monovalent hydrocarbon group) with a silanol having two -OH groups in a continuous manner.
