General Description
(16R)-Dihydrositsirikine is a naturally occurring chemical compound that belongs to the class of squalene-derived meroterpenoids. It is isolated from the stems and roots of Sitsirikia siteri, a plant native to Madagascar. This chemical compound has been found to exhibit various biological activities, including cytotoxicity against cancer cell lines and inhibitory effects on nitric oxide production. Its unique chemical structure and potential pharmacological properties make (16R)-Dihydrositsirikine an interesting target for further research and potential drug development.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6519-26-2 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,5,1 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 6 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6519-26:
(6*6)+(5*5)+(4*1)+(3*9)+(2*2)+(1*6)=102
102 % 10 = 2
So 6519-26-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

, p. 1346 - 1351 (2007/10/02)
From the methanol extract of Catharanthus roseus tissue cultures sitsirikine (2), isositsirikine (3), dihydrositsirikine (4), yohimbine (5), 3-iso-19-epialmalicine (6), pleiocarpamine (7), antirhin (8) and two up to now unknown alkaloids have been isolated in addition to the compounds previously found in the hexane extract. The structures belonging to heteroyohimbane, vallesiachotamine, corynanthe and related types were deduced by UV, NMR and mass spectroscopy. - Key words: Indole Alkaloids, Catharanthus roseus, Cell Cultures
