The invention discloses a preparation method of a blue-sensitive spectrum sensitizer. The structure of the blue-sensitive spectrum sensitizer corresponds to a formula VII. The method comprises the following step: carrying out re-condensation on an intermediate, obtained by carrying out quaternization and oximation on a compound 5-chloro-2-methylbenzothiazole as a raw material in a formula I, and an intermediate, obtained by carrying out substitution and quaternization on a compound 5-bromo-2-methylbenzothiazole as a raw material in a formula IV, so as to finally obtain the blue-sensitive spectrum sensitizer as a formula VII. The method has the advantages of cheap and easily available raw materials, mild reaction conditions, no selectivity problem and high yield, and is suitable for industrial production.
