Page/Page column 20, (2018/08/03)
Disclosed are novel hafnium-based metallocene catalyst compounds with the following characteristics: 1) 4,5-dialkyl substitutions on a fluorenyl ligand, and optionally additional substitutions, 2) a cyclopentadienyl ligand, optionally with substitutions, and 3) a bridging group from group 14 of the Periodic Table. Also disclosed are catalyst systems comprising such catalyst compounds and their uses thereof, and polymers produced using such catalyst systems.
Unbridged cyclopentadienyl-fluorenyl complexes of zirconium as catalysts for homogeneous olefin polymerization

, p. 101 - 106 (2007/10/02)
The reaction of various lithium fluorenyl compounds, Li(C13H7R1R2) (R1R2=H, alkyl or aryl) (1a-1n), with C5H5ZrCl3 leads to unbridged fluorenyl complexes of the type (C5H5)C13H7R1R2)ZrCl2 (2a-2n) which can be converted to the corresponding metallocene dimethyl complexes (3a-3e).In combination with methylaluminoxane (MAO), 2a-2n show a higher catalytic activity as homogeneous eethylene polymerization catalysts than (C5H5)2ZrCl2.Compound 2d (R1=2-Me; R2=7-Me) was charcterized by an X-ray structure analysis. Keywords: Metallocene; Fluorenyl ligands; Olefin polymerization; Zirconium

, (2008/06/13)
The present invention relates to a method of treating an inflammatory condition, and to compounds and composition suitable for use in such a method, which compounds have the Formula: STR1 wherein: X is methylene, ethylene, ethyleneoxy, or oxygen; Q is STR2 where C' is a residue of a lipophilic amino acid, and Y is --CO2 H, --CH2 OH, --CONR1 R2, or --CO2 R1 where R1 and R2 hydrogen, alkyl, or aryl; R3 and R4 are, independently, hydrogen, alkyl or aryl; and A and B are, independently, hydrogen, fused phenyl, alkyl, aryl, alkaryl, aralkyl, alkoxy, alkoxyalkyl, halogen, or nitro; or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof.
