6537-70-8 Usage
Uses
Used in Textile Industry:
5,5'-Dibromo-4,4'-dichloro-2,2'-bi[1H-indole]-3,3'-diol bis(sulfuric acid sodium) salt is used as a dye fixative for improving the color fastness of dyed fabrics. It enhances the ironing fastness, light fastness, and chlorine bleach fastness of dyed textiles, ensuring their durability and resistance to fading and staining.
Used in Mercerized Textiles:
5,5'-Dibromo-4,4'-dichloro-2,2'-bi[1H-indole]-3,3'-diol bis(sulfuric acid sodium) salt is used in the treatment of mercerized textiles to improve their quality and performance. Mercerization is a process that increases the luster and strength of cotton fabrics, and the use of 5,5'-Dibromo-4,4'-dichloro-2,2'-bi[1H-indole]-3,3'-diol bis(sulfuric acid sodium) salt can further enhance these properties.
Used in Oxygen Bleach Applications:
5,5'-Dibromo-4,4'-dichloro-2,2'-bi[1H-indole]-3,3'-diol bis(sulfuric acid sodium) salt is used in oxygen bleach processes to remove stains and impurities from textiles. Its effectiveness in this application contributes to the overall cleanliness and appearance of the fabric.
Used in Soaping Processes:
5,5'-Dibromo-4,4'-dichloro-2,2'-bi[1H-indole]-3,3'-diol bis(sulfuric acid sodium) salt is also used in soaping processes, which help to remove excess dye and improve the softness and handle of the fabric. This application ensures that the textiles have a smooth and comfortable feel, making them more suitable for various uses.
Preparation
(a) in the presence of Pyridine , with Chlorosulfonic acid treatment C.I. Vat Blue 2 leuco; (b) in the Pyridine with metal (such as copper, iron, zinc, etc) and Sulfur trioxide source (such as Sulfur trioxide, Chlorosulfonic acid or Methyl chlorosulfonate, etc.) processing C.I. Vat Blue 2. The above two kinds of situation after alkaline, filter out insolubles, remove Pyridine and salting out.

Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 6537-70-8 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,5,3 and 7 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 7 and 0 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6537-70:
(6*6)+(5*5)+(4*3)+(3*7)+(2*7)+(1*0)=108
108 % 10 = 8
So 6537-70-8 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
