General Description

N-Phenyl-benzene-1,3-diamine, also known as N-Phenyl-m-phenylenediamine, is a chemical compound with the molecular formula C12H12N2. As an organic compound, it is commonly utilized for the manufacture of rubber products as an anti-ager, serving to prolong their service life. Its robust antioxidation properties make it highly effective in mitigating thermal oxidation during production and use. Apart from this, it has also found utility in the dye industry to enhance the colour fastness of synthetic fibers or textiles. Color-wise, it appears as a reddish to grayish brown crystalline powder. It does pose potential environmental and health hazards, causing skin and serious eye irritation and may be harmful if swallowed or if inhaled.
