Stereoselective synthesis of highly-functionalized cyclohexene derivatives having a diethoxyphosphoryldifluoromethyl functionality from cyclohex-2-enyl-1-phosphates

Reaction of diethoxyphsphoryldifluoromethylzinc bromide (BrZnCF 2PO3Et2) with highly functionalized cyclohex-2-enyl-1-phosphates in the presence of CuBr in THF was examined. The reaction provides a facile method for introducing a difluoromethylenephosphonate unit to the allylic position within a cyclic array in a stereo- and regioselective manner.
