N-[4-(4-methoxy-phenyl)-thiazol-2-yl]-2-morpholin-4-yl-acetamide is a complex organic compound with a molecular formula of C18H20N4O3S. It features a thiazol-2-yl core, which is a five-membered heterocyclic ring containing sulfur and nitrogen. The compound is characterized by a 4-methoxy-phenyl group attached to the thiazol-2-yl ring, providing a methoxy substituent that contributes to its electronic properties. Additionally, it has a morpholin-4-yl group, which is a cyclic amine derived from morpholine, and an acetamide group, indicating the presence of an amide linkage. This chemical structure suggests potential applications in pharmaceuticals or as a chemical intermediate due to its diverse functional groups and the ability to form hydrogen bonds and other interactions.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 6674-34-6 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,6,7 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6674-34:
(6*6)+(5*6)+(4*7)+(3*4)+(2*3)+(1*4)=116
116 % 10 = 6
So 6674-34-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis of 2-(aminoacetylamino)thiazole derivatives and comparison of their local anaesthetic activity by the method of action potential

Geronikaki,Theophilidis

, p. 709 - 716 (1992)

Some numbers of the family of 2-(aminoacetylamino)thiazoles were synthesized. The structure of these compounds was identified both by elemental as well as by spectroscopic analysis (UV, IR, H-NMR, MS). The possible local anaesthetic action of these compounds was also tested using the sciatic nerve of the frog. None of the tested compounds were found to have local anaesthetic action on in vitro preparations as lidocaine, but one of the compounds showed a similar anaesthetic action to procaine.
