Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 6705-34-6 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,7,0 and 5 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6705-34:
(6*6)+(5*7)+(4*0)+(3*5)+(2*3)+(1*4)=96
96 % 10 = 6
So 6705-34-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Gamma-hydroxy-2-(fluoroalkylaminocarbonyl)-1-piperazinepentanamides and uses thereof

-

Page/Page column 204, (2010/01/31)

γ-Hydroxy-2-(fluoroalkylaminocarbonyl)-1-piperazinepentanamide compounds are inhibitors of HIV protease and inhibitors of HIV replication. These compounds are useful in the prevention or treatment of infection by HV and the treatment of AIDS, either as compounds, pharmaceutically acceptable salts, pharmaceutical composition ingredients, whether or not in combination with other antivirals, immunomodulators, antibiotics or vaccines. Methods of treating AIDS and methods of preventing or treating infection by HIV are also described. These compounds are effective against HIV viral mutants which are resistant to HIV protease inhibitors currently used for treating AIDS and HIV infection.

This invention relates to compounds of the formulae: wherein A1is O, S, N—R1or CHR1; A4is N—R4or CHR4; R2is a sidechain containing an acid or ester group; R1, R4and R5are substituents such as H, alkyl and aryl alkyl, and R6is a sidechain containing a nitrogen group; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, which are effective for inhibiting platelet aggregation, pharmaceutical compositions for effecting such activity, and a method for inhibiting platelet aggregation.

Monoquaternized pyrazinium compounds and their use as electron carriers in photosynthetic processes

-

, (2008/06/13)

Substituted pyrazinium compounds having at least one polar group such as hydroxyl, carboxyl, carbamido or sulfonoxy can act as high energy electron carriers in photosynthetic processes such as those employing chlorophyll and a reduction enzyme. Such processes with the pyrazinium compounds can produce ammonia and hydrogen.
