The glycosylation reaction of 6-nitroindoline with 5-tritylribose led to the synthesis of the 1-β-D-ribofuranoside and 1-β-D-ribopyranoside of 6-nitroindoline, the dehydrogenation of which resulted in the isolation of the corresponding 1-β-D-ribopyranosid
