6784-38-9 Usage

General Description

Flavopereirine perchlorate (P) is a chemical compound that consists of flavopereirine, an alkaloid found in the plant Geissospermum sericeum, and perchlorate, a strong oxidizing agent. It is used in the field of pharmacology and biochemistry for its potential therapeutic effects, particularly for its reported antimalarial and antitumor properties. Flavopereirine perchlorate (P) has been the subject of research for its ability to inhibit the growth of tumor cells and its potential as a novel treatment for malaria. However, further studies are needed to fully understand its mechanisms of action and potential applications in medicine.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 6784-38-9 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 6,7,8 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 6784-38:
(6*6)+(5*7)+(4*8)+(3*4)+(2*3)+(1*8)=129
129 % 10 = 9
So 6784-38-9 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Polyneuridine aldehyde: Structure, stability overviews and a plausible origin of flavopereirine

Ahamada, Kadiria,Benayad, Sarah,Poupon, Erwan,Evanno, Laurent

, p. 1718 - 1720 (2016/04/04)

Polyneuridine aldehyde is a key intermediate in the biosynthetic routes to the family of monoterpene indole alkaloids. The molecule is the first biosynthetic member of the sarpagan-type alkaloids and is an entry to the ajmalan-type and alstophyllan-type alkaloids. To date, no spectral description of the molecule has been reported. We provide herein a full structural description of the molecule. Polyneuridine aldehyde revealed to be highly unstable in solution with decomposition within few hours. Some degradation products were characterized including flavopereirine suggesting an artifactual origin from plant materials.
