Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 68178-68-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,8,1,7 and 8 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 6 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 68178-68:
(7*6)+(6*8)+(5*1)+(4*7)+(3*8)+(2*6)+(1*8)=167
167 % 10 = 7
So 68178-68-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Herbicidal activity of some 2-substituted-1,3-(2H,4H)-isoquinolinediones
Mazza,Genta,Modena
, p. 715 - 720 (2007/10/03)
A series of 2-substituted-1,3-isoquinolinediones C 1-25, precursors of 2-[(arylamino)carbonyl]benzeneacetic acids A and of 2-(2-arylamino-2-oxoethyl)benzoic acids B possessing root antigravitropic activity, were prepared and evaluated for herbicidal activity on weeds and crops. Among the compounds examined, several derivatives were very active against weeds, in many cases more active than the commercially available herbicides used as the reference standards. Low phytotoxicities on crops, selectivity and persistence of herbicidal effect were observed.
