Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 681812-07-7 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 6,8,1,8,1 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 681812-07:
(8*6)+(7*8)+(6*1)+(5*8)+(4*1)+(3*2)+(2*0)+(1*7)=167
167 % 10 = 7
So 681812-07-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

2,6-Bis(trifluoromethyl)phenylboronic Esters as Protective Groups for Diols: A Protection/Deprotection Protocol for Use under Mild Conditions

Shimada, Naoyuki,Urata, Sari,Fukuhara, Kenji,Tsuneda, Takao,Makino, Kazuishi

, p. 6064 - 6068 (2018/09/27)

The application of 2,6-bis(trifluoromethyl)phenyl boronic acid (o-FXylB(OH)2; o-FXyl = 2,6-(CF3)2C6H3) as a recoverable and reusable protective agent for diols is described. The resulting cyclic boronic esters are water- and air-stable and tolerant to various organic transformations. Moreover, they can be deprotected under mild conditions. This methodology was applied to the synthesis of a highly conjugated enetriyne natural product with anti-angiogenic activities.

Synthesis and characterisation of some new boron compounds containing the 2,4,6-(CF3)3C6 H2 (fluoromes = Ar), 2,6-(CF3)2C6H3 (fluoroxyl = Ar′), or 2,4-(CF3)2 C6H3 (Ar″) ligands

Cornet, Stephanie M.,Dillon, Keith B.,Entwistle, Christopher D.,Fox, Mark A.,Goeta, Andres E.,Goodwin, Helen P.,Marder, Todd B.,Thompson, Amber L.

, p. 4395 - 4405 (2007/10/03)

Several new boron compounds containing the 2,4,6- (CF3)3C6H2 (fluoromes = Ar), 2,6-(CF3)2C6H3 (fluoroxyl = Ar′) or 2,4-(CF3)2C6H3 (Ar″) ligands have been synthesised from reactions of ArLi, Ar′Li or Ar″Li with BCl3, and characterised by 19F and 11B NMR spectroscopy. Chlorine/fluorine exchanges are evident in these reactions. The crystal and molecular structures of Ar2BF, Ar″3B, Ar2B(OH), Ar′B(OH)2 and Mes2BF (Mes = 2,4,6-Me3C6H2) have been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Ar″3B represents the first example of a compound containing three Ar″ ligands to be structurally characterised. Molecular geometries and GIAO-NMR shifts for several new boron compounds have been calculated at the HF/6-31G* level of theory, and compared with the available experimental results.
