Usage

General Description

1-[(2,6-dibromo-4-methylphenyl)amino]-4-hydroxyanthraquinone, also known as CI Disperse Blue 79, is a synthetic dye compound commonly used in the textile industry. It has a deep blue color and is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents. 1-[(2,6-dibromo-4-methylphenyl)amino]-4-hydroxyanthraquinone is used to dye polyester, nylon, and acetate fibers and is known for its good light and wash fastness. However, it has been found to have potential toxic effects on aquatic organisms and may cause skin and eye irritation in humans.
