A series of new polyanions was synthesized via γ-polymerization in aqueous micellar solution of ω-unsaturated anionic surfactants derived from D-glucose. These polyanions were evaluated for their activity against HIV-1. All tested compounds proved active, although non-toxic to the host cells (CEM-4).
