Preparation of Alkylmethylphenylphosphines by the Method of Hewertson and Watson
Wolfsberger, Werner
, p. 295 - 298 (2007/10/02)
The reaction of C6H5(CH3)PNa with some alkyl halides in liquid ammonia was studied. The resulting phosphines were characterized by elemental analyses, NMR spectra, and by the reaction with trimethylsilyl azide giving trimethylsilylimino triorganophosphoranes. - Keywords: Alkylmethylphenylphosphines, N-Trimethylsilylimino Triorganophosphoranes, NMR Spectra
Synthesis of (silylmethyl)phosphinimines via silyl migration from nitrogen to carbon
Wilburn, James C.,Neilson, Robert H.
, p. 347 - 351,348, 349 (2007/10/10)
The P-methyl (silylamino)phosphines Me3Si(R)NPMe2 (1, R = Me3Si; 2, R = t-Bu; 3, R = Me), (Me3Si)2NP(Ph)Me (4), t-BuMe2Si(R)NPMe2 (5, R = Me3Si; 6, R = Me), and Me2SiCH2CH2SiMe2NPMe2 (7) are conveniently prepared by treatment of lithium silylamides with PCl3 or PhPCl2 followed by MeMgBr. Phosphines 1-7 react with Me1 to form the (silylamino)phosphonium iodides which, when allowed to react with n-BuLi, usually undergo dehydrohalogenation and N→C silyl migration to afford the (silylmethyl)phosphinimines Me3SiN=P(CH2SiMe3)RR′ (8, R = R′ = Me; 9, R = Me, R′ = Ph; 10, R = R′ = Ph), Me2SiCH2CH2SiMe2CH 2PMe2=N (11), RMe2SiN=P(CH2SiMe2R′)Me2 (12a, R = Me, R′ = t-Bu; 12b, R = t-Bu, R′ = Me), and t-BuN=P(CH2SiMe3)Me2 (13).
