TRIS-(2,4-DI-TERT-BUTYL-5-METHYL-PHENYL)PHOSPHITE is a complex organic compound with the chemical formula C42H57O3P. It is a type of phosphite, which is a derivative of phosphoric acid. This specific phosphite is characterized by its three identical substituents, each being a 2,4-di-tert-butyl-5-methylphenyl group, attached to a central phosphorus atom. It is known for its antioxidant properties and is commonly used as a stabilizer in various industrial applications, particularly in the polymer and plastics industry, to prevent degradation caused by heat, light, and oxygen exposure. The compound's structure provides it with excellent thermal stability and resistance to oxidation, making it a valuable additive in the production of materials that require long-term stability and resistance to environmental stressors.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 68972-23-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 6,8,9,7 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 2 and 3 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 68972-23:
(7*6)+(6*8)+(5*9)+(4*7)+(3*2)+(2*2)+(1*3)=176
176 % 10 = 6
So 68972-23-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

DODECAACETYLPRODELPHINIDIN B3 FROM THE DRIED LEAVES OF ZIZIPHUS SPINA-CHRISTI

Weinges, Klaus,Schick, Hartmut

, p. 505 - 508 (2007/10/02)

The ethanolic extract (10percent of the dried leaves) of Ziziphus spina-christi was acetylated leading to the isolation of a crystalline dodecaacetylprodelphinidin B3, which has not been described in the literature. Its structure was determined on the basis of its 1H and 13C NMR spectra. The main components of the extract are glucose (4.4percent), sucrose (21percent), dimers, oligomers and polymers of prodelphinidins (16percent), betulinic acid (1.7percent), sitosterol β-D-glucoside (2percent), (+)-gallocatechin (1.7percent) and (-)-epigallocatechin (0.9percent).The structures of the crystalline peracetates were proven by comparison with the physical properties described in the literature.Proanthocyanidins and betulinic acid seem to be chemotaxonomically characteristic of Ziziphus species. - Key words: Ziziphus spina-christi; Rhamnaceae; dried leaves; dodecaacetylprodelphinidin B3; 13C NMR.
