The invention discloses a method for preparing an epimer (1S, 3R, 5S)-2-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane-3-carboxamide of a saxagliptin heterocyclic intermediate and a salt thereof The method comprises the following steps: racemizing (1S, 3S, 5S)-2-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane-3-carboxamide or the salt thereof under an alkaline condition, protecting by Boc, purifying, and removing a protecting group to form a salt, thereby obtaining the target product.
