Trimethyltin(IV) perchlorate, with the chemical formula (CH3)3SnClO4, is an organotin compound that features a tin atom bonded to three methyl groups and a perchlorate ion. It is a colorless, crystalline solid that is soluble in water and organic solvents. trimethyltin(IV) perchlorate is primarily used in organic synthesis, particularly as a reagent in the preparation of other organotin compounds. Due to its potential neurotoxicity, it is important to handle trimethyltin(IV) perchlorate with care, following proper safety protocols.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 70293-59-3 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 7,0,2,9 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 70293-59:
(7*7)+(6*0)+(5*2)+(4*9)+(3*3)+(2*5)+(1*9)=123
123 % 10 = 3
So 70293-59-3 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Tricoordinate Tin Cations in Solutions under Ambient Conditions

Lambert, Joseph B.,Kuhlmann, Barbara

, p. 931 - 932 (2007/10/02)

The tricoordinate form of organotin (R3Sn+) has been prepared under ambient conditions in a variety of nonnucleophilic solvents.

TRIHYDROCARBYLTIN COMPLEXES OF TRANSITION METAL CYANIDES

Uson, R.,Fornies, J.,Uson, M. A.,Lalinde, E.

, p. 359 - 366 (2007/10/02)

Cationic single-bridged trinuclear cyano complexes are obtained by treating trihydrocarbyltin perchlorate (SnR3O2ClO2) (R=alkyl or aryl) with neutral transition metal monocyanides, whereas treatment with the corresponding neutral or anionic transition metal polycyanides gives neutral single-bridged polymeric cyano compounds. In every case the tin atoms are pentacoordinated with the three R groups in the equatorial and two CN groups (or, respectively one CN and one OClO3 group) in the axial position of a trigonal bipyramid.
