Some new 2-substituted-N-(substituted piperidyl) indol-3-yl-glyoxylamides and 2-substituted-3-ethyl> indoles have been synthesized as possible cardiovascular agents by the condensation of different piperidines with indole glyoxylylchloride followed by reduction with lithium aluminium hydride in anhydrous dimethoxyethane.
