Anticancer Research
This terpenoid compound is isolated from the edible plant Physalis philadelphica. The leaf and stem extract induces quinine reductase, a phase II enzyme, needed formetabolism of chemical carcinogens. The anticancer activity of ixocarpalactone isexerted through G2/M phase arrest in cell cycle, downregulation of E2F-1, DP-1,upregulation of hyper-phosphorylated retinoblastoma, and induction of apoptosis inSW480 human colon cancer cells (Balunas and Kinghorn 2005; Choi et al. 2006).
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 71801-45-1 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 7,1,8,0 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 5 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 71801-45:
(7*7)+(6*1)+(5*8)+(4*0)+(3*1)+(2*4)+(1*5)=111
