Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 73263-99-7 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 7,3,2,6 and 3 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 73263-99:
(7*7)+(6*3)+(5*2)+(4*6)+(3*3)+(2*9)+(1*9)=137
137 % 10 = 7
So 73263-99-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Cytokinin metabolism and the modulation of cytokinin activity in radish

McGaw, Brian A.,Horgan, Roger,Heald, Jim K.

, p. 9 - 13 (2007/10/02)

The metabolism of zeatin, N6-(Δ2-isopentenyl) adenine, dihydrozeatin, zeatin-O-glucoside and dihydrozeatin-O-glucoside has been studied using derooted radish seedlings. The metabolites were identified by UV and GC/MS. The patterns of metabolism are compared and provide evidence that the O-glucosyl conjugates may be storage forms of the cytokinins.

DIHYDROZEATIN METABOLISM IN RADISH SEEDLINGS

Mcgaw, Brian A.,Heald, Jim K.,Horgan, Roger

, p. 1373 - 1378 (2007/10/02)

(+/-)-8-14C>Dihydrozeatin was fed to derooted radish seedlings. After three days the plants were harvested and the cytokinin metabolites purified by reversed and ordinary phase HPLC prior to identification by degradation, UV and MS.The most abundant metabolite was shown to be dihydrozeatin-7-D-glucopyranoside, but, unexpectedly, significant quantities of dihydrozeatin-3-D-glucopyranoside and dihydrozeatin-9-D-glucopyranoside were also produced. These results sre discussed in relation to mechanisms which may control cytokinin levels and the enzymology of N-glycosylation.Key words: Raphanus sativus; Cruciferae; cytokinins; metabolism; dihydrozeatin; glucosyl conjugation; mass spectrometry; HPLC.
