Convenient one-pot syntheses of six multi electron ligands (5, 7, 11, 13, 16b, 18b) for transition metals are described, basing on fast ring opening reactions.Besides the spiro compounds, mentioned in the title, 1,2-diphenyl-1,2-diarsolane served as educt for the ring opening reactions.Some of the ligands were reacted with FeCl2 to give ferrocenophanes (21a, b, 22) or a ferrocene (19), respectively.
