Synthesis
Stir a mixture of 3-(dialkylamino)phenol (20 mmol) and NaOH (20 mmol) in MeCN (30 mL) for 1 h. Add methyl p-toluenesulfonate (20 mmol) to the mixture.
Stir the reaction mixture at 40 °C for 4 h.
Filter and wash the mixture with MeCN. Evaporate the filtrate. Dissolve the residue in 5% HCl (60 mL) and wash with Et2O (2 x 20 mL). Add K2CO3 slowly to basicify at about pH 9.
Extract the water solution by Et2O (3 x 30 mL). Wash the organic layer with 1 N NaOH solution (2 x 20 mL) and NaCl solution (4 x 30 mL). Dry the organic layer over Na2SO4. Evaporate the solvent to obtain N,N-diethyl-3-methoxyaniline.
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 73570-52-2 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 7,3,5,7 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 73570-52:
(7*7)+(6*3)+(5*5)+(4*7)+(3*0)+(2*5)+(1*2)=132
132 % 10 = 2
So 73570-52-2 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
