7360-38-5 Usage
Uses
Glyceryl tri(2-ethylhexanoate) is an organic ester, and its chemical structure is basically the same as that of natural oils, and it has good affinity with the skin. On the other hand, the carbon chain part of the compound molecule is shorter than that of natural oil, and it is a light oil. When used on the skin, it does not feel greasy and has good spreadability. It is an ideal cosmetic oil.
Flammability and Explosibility
Nonflammable
Synthesis
2-ethylhexanoic acid, glycerol, cyclohexane (or xylene), p-toluenesulfonic acid were added to the reactor. Heating, stirring, then refluxing, adding the organic layer under reduced pressure distillation to obtain Glyceryl tri(2-ethylhexanoate).
Check Digit Verification of cas no
The CAS Registry Mumber 7360-38-5 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 7,3,6 and 0 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 3 and 8 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 7360-38:
(6*7)+(5*3)+(4*6)+(3*0)+(2*3)+(1*8)=95
95 % 10 = 5
So 7360-38-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.
