UTILISATION DE MODELES MATHEMATIQUES POUR L'OPTIMISATION EN FERMENTATION. APPLICATIONS AUX TRANSFORMATIONS PAR LES MICRO-ORGANISMES
Deshayes, Christian M. P.
, p. 24 - 34 (2007/10/02)
The general principles that should be applied in order to use planification and optimization methods are described.Special emphasis is placed on the notion of the "experimental domain", that is, a listing of those parameters which might influence a given experimental response and the determination of the range in which they exert their effect. Two direct methods which are not based on mathematical models are described, and three methods which involve regression analysis are explained. The advantages and limitations of these methods are discussed and guidelines are given to help the experimenter in his choice of the most appropriate method to be used to solve his particular problems. These methods are illustrated by three examples taken from the study of microbial transformations.
