Diphenyl(diethyldithiophosphinato)thallium(III) is a chemical compound with the formula [Ph2Tl(S2P(OEt)2)]. It is a thallium(III) complex that features a diphenylthallium(III) cation and a diethyldithiophosphinate anion. The diethyldithiophosphinate anion is derived from the diethyldithiophosphinic acid, which has the formula (C2H5)2PS2H. diphenyl(diethyldithiophosphinato)thallium(III) is of interest in organometallic chemistry and may have potential applications in various fields due to its unique structure and properties. It is important to handle diphenyl(diethyldithiophosphinato)thallium(III) with care, as thallium and its compounds are known to be toxic.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 7519-57-5 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 7,5,1 and 9 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 7 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 7519-57:
(6*7)+(5*5)+(4*1)+(3*9)+(2*5)+(1*7)=115
115 % 10 = 5
So 7519-57-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Diorganothallium(III) diethyldithiophosphinates : Crystal and molecular structures of [TlMe2(S2PEt2)] and [TlPh2(S2PEt2)]

Carballo,Casas,Castellano,Sanchez,Sordo,Vazquez-Lopez,Zukerman-Schpector

, p. 3609 - 3614 (1997)

The compounds [TlR2(S2PEt2)] (R = Me or Ph) were synthesized by reaction of the corresponding hydroxide TlR2(OH) with NaS2PEt2·2H2O and characterized by X-ray crystallography. In both structures thallium is coordinated to the two sulfur atoms of the diethyldithiophosphinato ligand and to two carbon atoms of organyl groups. The chelate ring, TlS2P, lies on a crystallographic plane of symmetry. Weak intermolecular interactions with one of the sulfur atoms of a neighbouring molecule make the coordination number of the thallium atom up to five. The vibrational and 1H, 13C, 31P and 205Tl NMR spectra of these compounds are also discussed.
