The chemical compound "[RuCl(CO)(CS)(p-tolylisocyanide)(triphenylphosphine)2]ClO4" is a complex organometallic compound containing ruthenium as the central metal atom. It features a ruthenium atom coordinated to a chloride ligand, a carbon monoxide (CO) ligand, a carbon disulfide (CS) ligand, a p-tolylisocyanide ligand, and two triphenylphosphine (PPh3) ligands. The compound carries a perchlorate (ClO4) counterion, which balances the overall charge of the complex. This type of compound is often studied for its potential applications in catalysis, due to the ability of ruthenium to form stable complexes with a variety of ligands, and for its electronic and structural properties.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 75861-92-6 includes 8 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 5 digits, 7,5,8,6 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 9 and 2 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 75861-92:
(7*7)+(6*5)+(5*8)+(4*6)+(3*1)+(2*9)+(1*2)=166
166 % 10 = 6
So 75861-92-6 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

THIOCARBONYL COMPLEXES OF RUTHENIUM(II). SYNTHESIS OF RuCl2(CS)(H2O)(PPh3)2 AND RuHCl(CS)(PPh3)3

Brothers, Penelope J.,Roper, Warren R.

, p. 73 - 80 (2007/10/02)

A high-yield synthesis of trans-RuCl2(CS)(H2O)(PPh3)2 from RuCl2(PPh3)3 and CS2 is described. The coordinated water molecule is labile, and introduction of CNR (R=p-tolyl or p-chlorophenyl) leads to yellow trans-RuCl2(CS)(CNR)(PPh3)2, which isomerises thermally to colourless cis-RuCl2(CS)(CNR)(PPh3)2.Reaction of AgClO4 with cis-RuCl2(CS)(CNR)(PPh3)2 gives +, from which + and + are derived.Reaction of trans-RuCl2(CS)(H2O)(PPh3)2 with sodium formate gives Ru(η2-O2CH)Cl(CS)(PPh3)2, which undergoes decarboxylation in the presence of PPh3 to give RuHCl(CS)(PPh3)3.Ru(η2-O2CH)H(CS)(PPh3)2 and Ru(η2-O2CMe)H(CS)(PPh3)2 are also described.
