Bis-(tetrafluoro-2-pentafluoroethoxy-ethyl)-ether, also known as a perfluoropolyether (PFPE), is a synthetic chemical compound characterized by its unique molecular structure. It consists of an ether backbone with two tetrafluoro-2-pentafluoroethoxy-ethyl groups attached. bis-(tetrafluoro-2-pentafluoroethoxy-ethyl)-ether is known for its exceptional thermal and chemical stability, low vapor pressure, and high resistance to decomposition, making it suitable for various industrial applications, particularly as a lubricant in extreme environments. PFPEs are also used in the electronics industry for their dielectric properties and in the medical field for their biocompatibility. The compound's resistance to wear and its ability to function over a wide temperature range contribute to its value in high-performance applications.

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 7621-49-0 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 7,6,2 and 1 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 4 and 9 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 7621-49:
(6*7)+(5*6)+(4*2)+(3*1)+(2*4)+(1*9)=100
100 % 10 = 0
So 7621-49-0 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Synthesis and chemistry of perfluoro macrocycles

Lin,Lin,Clark,Lagow,Larson,Simonsen,Lynch,Brodbelt,Maleknia,Liou

, p. 5172 - 5179 (2007/10/02)

The perfluoro macrocycles perfluoro-18-crown-6, perfluoro-12-crown-4, perfluoro-15-crown-5, perfluoro-cyclohexano-15-crown-5, perfluorodicyclohexano-18-crown-6, perfluorodicyclohexano-24-crown-8, and perfluoro-4,7,13,16,21,24-hexaoxa-1, 10-diazabicyclo[8,8,8] hexacosane (perflorocyptand [222] have been prepared by carefully controlled elemental fluorination. Although they are much weaker bases than their hydrocarbon analogues, these perfluoromacrocycles are very stable materials which should have a number of applications. The crystal structures of perfluoro-18-crown-6 and of a perfluorodicyclohexano-18-crown-6 isomer are reported. Gas-phase studies with several perfluoro crown ethers and with the perfluorocryptand [222] have shown that such macrocycles tenaciously bind O2- and F-. Perfluoro crown ethers and cryptands coordinate anions preferentially over cations. The collisionally activated mass spectra of several perfluoro macrocylic ions are described.
