, p. 193 - 198 (2007/10/02)
The benzothienoindole 12 was obtained through sulfuration of oxindoles 7a, b with phosphorus pentasulfide, followed by dehydrogenation by palladium on charcoal of the resulting compound 11.The piperidine substituted oxindoles 13a, b similarly led t
Potential anticonvulsants. VI: Condensation of isatins with cyclohexanone and other cyclic ketones
Pajouhesh,Parson,Popp
, p. 318 - 321 (2007/10/02)
Cyclohexanone, substituted cyclohexanones, and other cycloalkanones have been condensed with isatin and substituted isatins to give a series of new 3-hydroxy-3-substituted oxindoles. A number of these 3-hydroxyoxindoles possess anticonvulsant activity.
Synthesis of potential anticonvulsants: Condensation of isatins with acetone and related ketones
Popp,Parson,Donigan
, p. 1235 - 1237 (2007/10/02)
Substituted isatins were condensed with acetone and other ketones to give analogs of 3-hydroxy-3-acetonyloxindole. Some of these alcohols were dehydrated. Several compounds with anticonvulsant activity were obtained.
