Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 765312-54-7 includes 9 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 6 digits, 7,6,5,3,1 and 2 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 5 and 4 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 765312-54:
(8*7)+(7*6)+(6*5)+(5*3)+(4*1)+(3*2)+(2*5)+(1*4)=167
167 % 10 = 7
So 765312-54-7 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

Chiral biphosphine ligands for the Ru-catalyzed enantioselective hydrogenation of β-ketoesters

Sun, Yanhui,Wan, Xiaobing,Guo, Minjie,Wang, Donghui,Dong, Xicheng,Pan, Yi,Zhang, Zhaoguo

, p. 2185 - 2188 (2004)

Three new biaryl phosphine ligands 4a-c have been prepared and their application in the Ru-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of β-ketoesters investigated. Ruthenium catalysts containing these ligands are highly effective in the hydrogenation of β-ketoesters with up to 99.9% ee being obtained.
