8-(2-Hydroxyethylamino)theophyline, also known as 8-HEAT, is a chemical compound derived from theophylline, a naturally occurring alkaloid found in tea leaves. It is a water-soluble derivative of theophylline, which is used as a bronchodilator and a central nervous system stimulant. 8-HEAT is formed by the addition of a 2-hydroxyethylamine group to theophylline, enhancing its solubility and potentially its therapeutic effects. This modification allows for better absorption and distribution in the body, making it a valuable compound in pharmaceutical research and development for the treatment of respiratory conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Check Digit Verification of cas no

The CAS Registry Mumber 7654-01-5 includes 7 digits separated into 3 groups by hyphens. The first part of the number, starting from the left, has 4 digits, 7,6,5 and 4 respectively; the second part has 2 digits, 0 and 1 respectively.
Calculate Digit Verification of CAS Registry Number 7654-01:
(6*7)+(5*6)+(4*5)+(3*4)+(2*0)+(1*1)=105
105 % 10 = 5
So 7654-01-5 is a valid CAS Registry Number.

SMALL MOLECULE BICYCLIC AND TRICYCLIC CFTR CORRECTORS

-

Paragraph 0133, (2015/11/16)

Novel CFTR corrector compounds that are effective in rescuing halide efflux, delF508-CFTR protein processing, and apical functional chloride ion transport in a cell are provided. Also provided are methods for treating protein folding disorders (e.g., cystic fibrosis). The methods include administering a CFTR corrector compound or pharmaceutically acceptable salt or prodrug thereof. Methods of rescuing halide efflux in a cell, correcting a processing defect of a delF508-CFTR protein in a cell, and correcting functional delF508-CFTR chloride channels in a cell are also provided.
