Antitumor activity of steroidal carbamate derivatives from N,N-bis (2-chloroethyl)-p-phenylenediamine

A number of unmodified and modified steroidal carbamate derivatives from N,N-bis-(2-chloroethyl)-p-phenylenediamine were prepared. The active agent was linked to the chloroformate group of the steroid molecule in the C-3 and C-17 position. The cytostatic action of 17-oxo-5α-androstan-3β-yl-N-p-(bis-2-chloroethylamino)phenylcarbamate and 13α-amino-13,17-seco-17-oic-13,17-lactam-5α-androstan-3β-yl-N-p-(bis-2-chloroethylamino)phenylcarbamate was investigated.
